Pokémon Stadium

This game links up your Game Boy and N64, thanks to the included transfer pak.

Story: Uuhhhh..... I dunno. Dang Nintendo, when will you make a game with a story?

Gameplay: If you've ever played in a mall tour, you know what to expect. Here are the main modes:

Stadium: Fight against computer opponents in four cups.

GB Tower: Play the Game Boy game on your TV.

Gym Leader Tower: Fight the gym leaders for badges.

There's a few problems here. First of all, the gym leader castle is pretty easy until you get to the Elite Four. Also, this is a rather difficult game for people who aren't familiar with building Pokémon teams.

3.1 (out of 4)

Graphics: Very good. All the attacks look great, and high resolution is used on some of the menus.

3.7

Music & Sound: The music is okay, but the announcer's voice is annoying (and yes, it's from the show).

2.9

Play Control: Because the game needs to keep some things secret from the two players, the control can be a bit awkward.

3.3

Raw average (25%, 25%, 25%, 25%): 3.3

Tilt average (40%, 15%, 10%, 35%): 3.2

My score: 3.4

The Final Say: Buy this. It turns your N64 into a Pokémon nerve center.
