Chapter Seven:Can't Touch This (Under Penalty of Law)When I think of my future, a song lyric comes to mind: This whole world's not ready for me, 'cause I live inside of my fantasy. If I wrote up every plan I ever had for fame and fortune, it might fill a small book. Each time it fails, I dream up another one. Of course, I still need something to fall back on, so if my current dream of creating my fame on the internet fails (although my web site ranks in the top ten percent of Pokémon sites, even if it only means 20 people visit my site a day), my backup goal makes me a computer programmer. Beyond that, my future lacks certainty, other than that I have a desire for success. Success consists of 50% concept and 50% execution. A lot of TV shows with great concepts fail due to poor execution, especially modern remakes. Writers try too hard to translate everything to modern time, instead of changing the concept a little. Success wouldn't satisfy me, though. Whatever my line of work, I want to improve people's lives and make them think about themselves. The key lies in not making people do what you want them to. In find that giving people what they want makes it much easier to communicate your message. For the longest time, my web site featured only short update descriptions. Furthermore, in order to know what you missed, I made people join an e-mail list. Eventually, I decided to list updates, which added a much more personal feel. If I want to succeed in the future, I'll have to that the customer is the number one concern.
