![]() ![]() Steve: Hello everyone, and welcome to Who Wants to be a Pokémaster! Tonight's contestant is Prince Lemmy Koopa! I'd like to remind everyone that all of tonight's questions are about movies based on video games. Lemmy: You may bow. Steve: Okay, you know about the lifelines, right? 50:50, Ask the audience, call a character? Lemmy: Yeah.
Lemmy: B: Mewtwo. Steve: Final answer? Lemmy: And that's my final answer. Steve: YES!
Lemmy: A: New island., Though I'm sure the actors would have much preferred New Jersey. Ash: Actually, I could've gone for Hawaii Lemmy: But New Island is my final answer. Steve: Correct!
Lemmy: Well, it wasn't Mario or Tracey...Lets see, 50:50 would be wasted, because you'd use Oak and Gary... So I'd like to ask the audience. Steve: I like to call 50:50 the placebo lifeline. Lemmy: Placebo? Why? Steve: I'll tell you later. Audience, using your keypad's A, B, C, or D, please vote now.
Steve: Looks like they think its Gary. Lemmy Then I guess I'll say Gary. Steve: Final answer? Lemmy: Final answer. Steve: Yes!
Lemmy: Well, Marril and snubble were both introduced in Pikachu's vacation together, so you can't mean them. Togepi was introduced in "Who get's to keep Togepi?" So this answer is quite simply Donphan. Steve: Reread the question. Lemmy: Oh, not. Then it's Togepi... Note: The reason I gave him a second chance is because he obviously knew the answer and just misread the question. That, and we never got to "final answer" if you're wrong and say, "final answer," bub-bye. Steve: Final answer? Lemmy: Sure, why not? Steve: Yes! Donphan is the one that pirate guy fights Ash with.
Lemmy (sarcastically): I think it's A: Pokemon. Seriously, though. It's C: Pong. Steve: Final answer? Lemmy: Yes... Steve: Of course! I think we'd see big lines to get into that one! Two hours of a block getting bounced back and forth. Lemmy: No... it'd be a sports flick.
Lemmy: B, no doubt about it. Steve: Is that your final answer? Lemmy Yup. It has to be the best game ever. I'm in it. Steve: You're right! I was gonna say, I thought I say you there. World 6, right? Lemmy: Ice world.Yup.
Lemmy: Gimmie the 50/50. Steve: Okay computer, take away two of the wrong answers, leaving one wrong answer and the correct one.
Lemmy A, M2M! Steve: Final answer? Lemmy: Sure, why not? Steve: Yes. The song was, of course, "Don't Say You Love Me" Now for the Earthbadge...
Lemmy: B: Mew. I know because King Dad has all of them. Final answer. Steve: Yes! The other card was Electabuzz!
Lemmy: Can you refresh my memory on the Call a Character rules? Steve: No one was mentioned in the question or answer, so you can call any character that can physically speak English. Lemmy: Then... I'll ask...(thinks about the movie) Ash is a complete idiot... so I'll ask Misty. She's in it. She'll know. Steve: Okay, our friends at AT&T will get Misty on the line... (ring ring ring, ring ring ring, phone call, phone call!) Misty: Hello? Steve: Hello, Misty, this is Steve from Who Wants to be a Pokémaster. Misty: Oh, hi! Steve: Look, I've got Lemmy Koopa here, and he needs your help. In a second, he's gonna read a question and four possible answers. Lemmy: What is the scheduled release date for Pokémon: The Movie 2000? A: July 23, 2000 B: July 19, 2000 C: June 21, 2000 D: July 21, 2000. Misty: Oh, yeah, it's JULY 21, 2000! EVERYBODY GO AND SEE IT! Steve: Misty, are you by any chance being paid to promote this movie? Misty: Yeah, um, I mean no. Lemmy: Misty, I have one more question for you... Misty: Yes? Lemmy: You free for dinner Saturday night? (receiver clicks) Steve: Ouch! So? Lemmy: D. Just like Misty said. Steve: Final answer? Lemmy: Sure, why not? Steve: Yes! Too bad the other date didn't work out.
Lemmy: A: Togepi. I remember Pikachu vs. Pikachu and Psyduck vs. Psyduck. And I remember Mewtwo and Ash each having a Gyrados. (Editor's Note: Technically, the Gyrados didn't belong to Ash) Steve: Final answer? Lemmy: Sure. Steve: Yes!
Lemmy: B: Vacation. Do I have any life lines left? Steve:No. But you won't lose anything by guessing. Lemmy: B: Vacation. I think that was the Pikachu's Vacation theme song. So it IS my final answer... Steve: Sorry lemmy. I can only give you so much leeway. Lemmy: Huh? Wait... (hits head) Steve: Technically, Pikachu's vacation is part of Pokémon the first movie. Oh well, the correct answer was C: If Only Tears Could Bring You Back. Thanks for being on the show, Lemmy! Note: In hindsight, I probably should have worded the question to say, "Which of these songs is not played during the actual running of the Pokémon: The First Movie, only in the end credits?" Technically, however, Vacation was only in the credits for Pikachu's Vacation, not the whole movie. However, Lemmy later protested and I gave him another shot. He ended up back at 32,000 PMU.
Steve: Well, that's all for today's show, and... Ash: Hey, Steve! Steve: What is it, Ash? Ash: You never told us why you call 50:50 the "placebo lifeline!" Steve: Oh, well, a placebo is a fake medicine (usually made of sugar) given to one group of people in a medical study to compare to the group who took the real medicine. 50:50 is a placebo because it never really helps you much, just taking away the two answers you thought were wrong anyway. Ash: Oh, I see...I think. Steve: Hoo boy, goodnight everybody! Note: Portions of this show have been edited, not affecting the outcome of the game.
