Once you reach the Soulbadge or 32,000 PMU (Pokémon Monetary Units) level, you're guaranteed to leave with at least that much. There also are three lifelines: 50:50, Call-a-Character, and Ask the Audience. Are you ready to play?

Misty: Hold on a minute! You said the Pokémon League is just letting you do this?

Steve: Uh, yeah.

Misty: I want proof!

Steve: (Rummages in his pocket, and takes out a piece of paper) There!

Misty: Okay, fine!

Steve: Going on with the game...

Dave: I'm not sure, but let's see what the 50:50 does for me.

Steve: Okay computer, take way two of the wrong answers leaving one right one and one wrong one.

Dave: Thought so. I seriously thought it was a trap. I'd like to call Meowth himself. If there's one Pokémon that knows it, he certainly will.

Meowth: Sure!

Steve: Okay, read him the question Dave.

Dave: Meowth, which word was the first word you spoke, other than your name? Was it "rocket" or "Pokéball"?

Meowth: You mean you don't know this one? It was Rocket! That's why I joined this illustrious organization! Meowth!

Dave: Okay, thanks.

Steve: Well, he was pretty sure.

Dave: Then I will go with B, Rocket as my final answer.

Steve: Well, Meowth says it, you say it, and you've got a Marshbadge! Okay, next question:

Dave: Voltorb stays as one Pokémon when it evolves, so A.

Steve: Final answer?

Dave: Yes.

Steve: Absolutely, you get a Volcanobadge!

Dave: In your face, Blaine!

Steve: Indeed.

Dave: I'll go for it. Final answer is B, Iron.

Steve: Final answer?

Dave: Came in with nothing, won't leave with less than 5. Final answer.

Steve: You've got an Earthbadge!

Giovanni: Who authorized this?

Steve: Oh, uh, did I mention I know about your little, uh, after hours job?

Giovanni: I like the concept you've got here.

Steve: Uh, thanks...

Dave: We hope.

Man: Hey! This actually tastes like food...sorta.

Steve: We're back! Dave has won eight badges, and is now competing for cash! If you answer all the questions right, you get to challenge the Elite Four to become the Pokémon league master, as well as 1,000,000 PMU, of course!

Dave: All right!

Steve: Okay, for 16,000 PMU:

Dave: I have no lifelines. I do not know this at all. I am going to stop here.

Steve: You still have enough badges to compete in the Pokémon league, but if you are wrong you'll only have 5. You want to quit?

Dave: I know, and I'm proud I made it as far as I did. I will stop here.

(Audience cheers)

Steve: Okay. but if you had to guess?

Dave: I would guess Flash.

Steve: Well, you made a good choice, because it was teleport!

Dave: I was stuck between the two.
