Gotta hear it all! Hello! Welcome to PokŽtalk for Thursday, August 12th, 1999!

In our first story today, Warner Bros. has recently released its PokŽmon trailer to a 
variety of web sites, mostly portable gaming. So those of you who haven't seen it yet 
now can.

Also,  several details have come out about the upcoming PokŽmon: Special Pikachu 
Edition. Actually, most of this informaton was availible previously. First of all, you 
sstart off with Pikachu, whether you like it or not. Also, the international masters of 
morons, Jesse and James will make several appearances. They've also mixed up items, 
evolution levels, and PokŽmon locations. Speaing of evolution, the Pikachu given to you 
in the beginning wil not evolve. It will also featutre game boy printer options and 
Super Game Boy colors on Game Boy Color.

The only problem I can see with this game is that players may become bogged down by 
an obviously weak Pikachu, although Nintendo may opt to give Pikachu a power boost.

Also, I'd like to take this moment to remind everyone that all the news stories on the
 news page are fake. Although Team Rocket will probably be in SSB 2.

PokŽmon hair peices. Who'd have thought? Anyways, now I'd like to talk about the 
series of PokŽmon trading cards. Now, I've never been a big fan of RPG card games, 
mainly because they're just too complex and I don't want to even try to figure out the 
rules. Besides, they're widley banned. From what I've heard, such problems still persist
 today. Granted, they can be fun to watch, but I just don't have the time to actually 
learn it. I'm sure there are plenty of people who are even more left-brained than I who 
do, though.

Finally, I'd like to discuss the viability of PokŽmon sites. First of all, from what I've 
seen, the net is saturated with PokŽmon web sites that are really not neccessary, and 
the averge person would be served quite well by a regular Game Boy site. When I 
created this site, I wanted to do somthing that a regular Game Boy site couldn't do: 
Provide specialized forms of PokŽmon content. By that, I mean that the matierial on 
this site warrants its existance as a seperate site. I don't see any regular Game Boy 
sites doing internet radio shows. 

The other goal for this site is the be a creator, not a product of the PokŽmon 
phenomenon. That is the goal of the PokŽdom section. To make sure PokŽmon lasts as 
long as possible, because then I'll have to make another site, won't I?
