Still stuck with the squirrel, this is PokŽtalk for Sunday, December 12th, 1999.

In our top story, we got a new episode this weekend. You may be wondering, "what's 
charmander doing in this episode?" Well, this episode originally came slightly after the
 most infamous episode of all, "Electric Soldier Porygon." After the incident, a block of 
episodes were taken off, throwing this one into translation limbo. This week's 
marathon features adults who actually understand PokŽmon, and next weekend will 
give us a set of episodes about everyone's favorite group of fire-types, the chars. This 
weekend also brought us some very odd carols.

The French-speaking province of Quebec is in an uproar over Nintendo's lack of French-
translation games in the area. They are demanding Nintendo and Sony release French 
versions of their games, before they take legal action. Seeing as how this legal action 
would come to no more than $900, it is doubtful that anything will come of this.

1. If you're expecting a Game Boy Color under the tree this holiday season, you may be 
disappointed. There's a severe shortage, with reports of people trying twenty stores 
with no luck.

2. Remember that whacked-out minister who said PokŽmon is evil? We'll someone 
interviewed him, and he doesn't know junk about PokŽmon. He said that we all have 
these crystal balls. Yeah, right.

3. Now people who go to Burger King may get a sheet of PokŽmon information cards 
instead of a toy. This is probably because these can be manufactured faster than toys.

Even so, I don't think I'll smell him. This week's episode brings up a good point. Is it 
just me me, or has everyone and their mother saved Santa Claus? Let's see, Jynxes, 
MIB, numerous elves, Ernest, Rudolph, the Super Mario Bros., a Lawyer, and Tim Allen 
(although technically, Tim Allen killed Santa). When is Santa gonna be able to defend 
himself? As soon as Hollywood runs out of ideas, that's when.

And now for a new feature here, PokŽmon Strategy. This week, I'd like to talk about the
 most underrated PokŽmon type: Normal. You see, normal PokŽmon aren't limited to 
normal attacks. Using TMs, they can learn a large variety of skills. Since normals only 
have a defensive disadvantage against fighting PokŽmon, and offensive against ghost 
and rock PokŽmon, they can fill in for a variety of tasks. If you've got a strategy an
