PokŽtalk for Sunday, February 13th, 2000: Yes, I'm Steven Reich, and here are your top stories for Sunday, February 13th, 2000: -Villain-tines Day on Kids' WB -"Sneak Pikachu" webcast planned In honor of the upcoming holiday, PokŽmon's Team Rocket gave out villain-tines on Kids' WB this weekend, showing that, well, they won't be playing matchmaker anytime soon. Anyway, we got two new episodes this weekend. Not bad. Don't expect any next weekend, though. We get some sort of mega monster marathon. Also, if something goes wrong with your valentines date, you can stay home and watch this week's water PokŽmon marathon. This weekend, today, in fact, Nintendo is holding a Sneak Pikachu-a pun illegal in four countries, including the United Arab Emirates-of upcoming PokŽmon products. The online show will feature the grooves of Aaron Carter, of "have some fun with the funk" fame. Of course, if you're listening to this, you've probably missed it. And now, PokŽbriefs: 1. As if there weren't enough lawsuits out there, a kid is suing his school for not returning his confiscated cards, which he brought to school even though it was strictly forbidden. 2. ABC news held an on-line chat session this week with members of the PokŽmon community, where they discussed a large range of topics. 3. Despite what I said last week, the Disney channel did not run The Wizard, changing the schedule at the last minute. And that's PokŽbriefs! And now, by popular request, a little tune. (musical Interlude) That was the Dark World theme from Zelda: A Link to the Past. And now for this week's editorial. I have an announcement to make. Remember how I told you earlier that the Disney channel failed to show The Wizard? Well, I'm fed up with it, and I, along with several other sites are starting an internet petition to get it rereleased. This site will be the main hub where the petition will be located. Expect to hear more bout this this week. For more information on The Wizard, see the PokŽwatch review. Last week's poll asked if you wanted a musical segment in PokŽtalk. You wanted it, and you got it! This week's poll asks if you could live in the world of PokŽmon, but had to give up your current life to do so, would you? Before we go, let's recap this week's top stories: -Villain-tines Day on Kids' WB -"Sneak Pikachu" webcast planned Until next time, this is is Steven Reich, have a good week.
